Blog Assignment 6:Privacy

Blog Assignment 6:Privacy

Facebook: Privacy on Facebook is fair. I can block users. Unfriend users and I can also make sure certain people can view my posts. Bad thing is anyone can hack your file by just getting your password and email.

Gatormail: I feel safe on gatormail. Only the university can access it other than me. School related only. I can only email professors advisors and other colleges as well.

Twitter: Twitter is some what safe as well. I can tweet what whatever I want. I can delete tweets other people mention me in. I can also block users. One of the bad things is once you tweet something the whole world can see it.

Instagram: Instagram is way safer I believe. Its my most favorite social media icon in my phone. I can put my posts to private. I can send direct picture messages to whom I want to send them too. I can block random followers. I can pick and choose what photos I want on my Photo map. And I can easily delete inappropriate comments from other people on my photos as well as my comments.

We will also ask an employer in person his/her take on what they look for when hiring a new employee.

What sources do you anticipate using?
We will be using Google Search Engine to find articles as our sources.
The New York Times
and some blog sites.

SIDE NOTE
We chose this topic and research because we think its very important to know whats okay to post online. Social Media is used by millions, if not billions billions daily. People are so quick to express their opinion online, show the latest gadgets they got by posting a picture, or post pictures from party they had last night. Social Media has a big influence on todays world, so we think its important to address the question "Whats Okay to Post Online".  People can get easy information about you online, and they can use this information  against you. People have to be safe online.
